International Renaissance Foundation and the Ukrainian Emergency Art Fund Scholarship

Original publication

“I see the Ukrainian Renaissance as a balanced quintessence of sincere curiosity and respect for our past, consistent historical memory and development strategies that take into account perspectives for future generations.

Unfortunately, we have a lot to restore materially, mentally, and ecologically. War is an uncompromising reminder of vulnerability. Revive to build a stable future in which such situations as the seizure of the Dovzhenko Center or the construction of the unique Polonyna Svydivets would not be possible.

Now we have the opportunity to use the newly acquired potential as a building material for the future of Ukraine. When it will be possible to walk safely in the forest again, when culture will become more decentralized, in demand and diverse, where everyone will be sure of their tomorrow, at home.”
